BEYOND THE STILL

IDEA:
The Story Beyond the Still
invited photographers to become filmmakers in a first-of-its-kind collaborative
storytelling experiment. Beginning with a single still image, each participant created a short film that picked up where the last one left off—like a cinematic chain letter—until the full story unfolded chapter by chapter.

RESULTS:
The Story Beyond the Still
earned acclaim across advertising and film communities for its innovative, collaborative storytelling format. At Cannes, it won a Gold Lion in Branded Content, a Silver Lion in Promotions, and a Bronze Lion in the Titanium/Integrated category. The One Show honored the campaign with Merit Awards in both Branded Content and Integrated Branding. It was also shortlisted at the Clio Awards in the Interactive/Social Media category. The final crowdsourced film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
