the identity of an
independent ad agency.
As Partner & Head of Creative, I shaped Cosmic Charlie’s visual identity across logo, typography, and identity.
Inspired by the agency’s philosophy of limitless possibility, the system uses black
as a symbol of infinity, with type and graphics constantly shifting, evolving and reforming.
The typeface explores abstract forms that feel both
geometric and fluid. Its high-contrast, almost molecular shapes
made it a natural fit for the logo: structured, but never rigid.
Rather than a fixed visual system, I wanted Cosmic Charlie to feel alive.
I collaborated with motion designer Antonin Waterkeyn to create an
evolving language where forms shift, type mutates and compositions
stay in constant motion.
The visual language extended into merch for both the agency and our clients.
Apparel, accessories and objects became another way to play with scale, type
and placement, turning the identity into something people could wear, carry and keep.
At the heart of Cosmic Charlie is a simple philosophy: fearless into the future. It embraces new technologies, formats and ways of working, seeing change as creative possibility. That mindset shaped the agency,
the work and the identity itself: always evolving, never standing still.
Foot in the Door
For a small independent agency, getting noticed is half the job. So we took one of the oldest phrases in new business literally.
We created hyper-realistic human feet and mailed them directly to prospective clients with personalized cards and QR codes.
Each one led to a custom landing page addressed to the recipient:
“It looks like we got our foot in your door. Mind if we come pick it back up and grab you a coffee?”
What could have been another cold email became a physical, slightly unhinged introduction.
The idea embodied the same philosophy as the agency itself: if you want people to remember you, don’t show up like everyone else.
A simple expression became an object, an experience and, ultimately, a way to start a conversation. The foot was the pitch.
