Project Imagin8ion was a user-generated photo contest that inspired a Hollywood short film directed by Ron Howard. Nearly 100,000 photographers joined in just three weeks, generating over 3 billion campaign impressions.
RESULTS:
Project Imagin8ion received widespread acclaim across both the advertising and film industries. At Cannes, it took home a Gold Lion in Media, a Silver Lion in Branded Content & Entertainment, and a Bronze Lion in PR. The campaign was also recognized at The One Show with Merit Awards in Integrated Branding. On the film circuit, when you find me—the short film inspired by user-submitted photos—won Best Short Film at the Burbank International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival, as well as Best Director, Best Editing, and Best Screenwriting at the California International Shorts Festival. Most notably, Project Imagin8ion made history as one of the first branded content films to be shortlisted for the Academy Awards.
